Vermeer rigs use proprietary FST (Firestick Thread) connections. The thread size depends on your specific model: for example, the D24x40 uses FST #600 (2.375″ OD), the D36x50 can use FST #650 or #700, and the D60x90 uses FST #900. Contact us with your rig model and serial number and we’ll confirm the exact spec before you order.
Our USA drill pipe is manufactured domestically and meets the same high-strength steel standards as OEM pipe. Our Import drill pipe is sourced from certified overseas manufacturers and offers the same thread specs and dimensions at a lower price point. Both options are available for Vermeer and Ditch Witch rigs.

A saver sub (also called a sub saver) is a sacrificial wear component that threads between your drive chuck and the drill pipe. It protects the drive chuck threads from wear. You should replace your saver sub every time you change drill pipe. A worn saver sub will accelerate wear on your drive chuck, which is a much more expensive repair.
